About time! Give Me an Atomic Clock in my Car
I bought a new wristwatch a while ago. It's advertised as "atomic". No, it isn't really atomic powered at all - it uses a battery just like many other quartz watches. But it does have a radio receiver to accept a signal from the U.S. Navy atomic clock in Boluder, Colorado. That way my watch is correct to the second all the time. Even adjusts automatically for daylight savings time.
Many of you even have inexpensive atomic clocks that tell time of day, day, month, year and temperature. Seems easy enough.
Why can't I have a digital clock like that in my cars and trucks?
